Here are just a few of the beautiful sandy beaches all within easy driving distance

Dinas Dinlle, Caernarfon - 12 miles, 23 minutes drive.
A long beach with lovely views, great for walking, windsurfing etc.

Newborough, Anglesey - 20 miles, 34 minutes drive
A long sandy beach with sand dunes and forest and wonderful views across the Menai Strait to the Snowdonia mountain range (pictured above). Great for walking, cycling (in the forest). At the far end is historical Llanddwyn Island, with a light house, wild flowers, ponies and the odd seal in the bay. Watch the tide or you could be cut off for a while!

Rhoscolyn, Anglesey - 29 miles, 43 minutes drive
A lovely little bay with a sandy beach and rock pools. Theres a great pub nearby too! ( The White Eagle)

Trearddur Bay, Anglesey - 30 miles, 40 minutes drive
A blue flag beach popular with families and for water sports, especially windsurfing.

Abersoch, Llyn Peninsula - 33 miles, 1 hour's drive
A fashionable and trendy resort, great for water sports, a shallow gradient means it is safe for swimming therefore popular with families.
